What is The Card Album?

The Card Album is my personal collection showcase. I originally designed my first website, CardMagnet.info, from scratch in Microsoft FrontPage and used tables to organize things. The site was updated regularly 2009 to 2021. I’m proud to say that I had regular viewers from around the world, and my content was frequently in the top results on Google’s web and image results. The time came to put some new tools and ideas to use, and so TheCardAlbum.com was born.

About My Collection

I’ve collected a little bit of everything over the years. With over 500 players and coaches from the University of Miami Football program represented, I believe my Hurricanes card collection is the largest one in existence. Along with Canes Football, I also enjoy collecting local natives and sports teams of the Greater Johnstown, PA area. You’ll also find various other baseball cards, hockey cards, football cards, and non-sports cards from my collection pictured on this site.

About Richard Mercier

Rich Mercier was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and placed 5th in the Canadian Junior Freestyle Mogul Championships in 1993.  Coming from the cold North, Mercier quickly became accustomed to the stifling South Florida heat and would become one of the Hurricanes most dependable offensive lineman in its history.  Ranked the #2 college recruit out of Canada, he came from Montreal’s Vernier College (high school) to help anchor UM Sports Hall of Fame member Art Kehoe’s offensive line.
