What is The Card Album?

The Card Album is my personal collection showcase. I originally designed my first website, CardMagnet.info, from scratch in Microsoft FrontPage and used tables to organize things. The site was updated regularly 2009 to 2021. I’m proud to say that I had regular viewers from around the world, and my content was frequently in the top results on Google’s web and image results. The time came to put some new tools and ideas to use, and so TheCardAlbum.com was born.

About My Collection

I’ve collected a little bit of everything over the years. With over 500 players and coaches from the University of Miami Football program represented, I believe my Hurricanes card collection is the largest one in existence. Along with Canes Football, I also enjoy collecting local natives and sports teams of the Greater Johnstown, PA area. You’ll also find various other baseball cards, hockey cards, football cards, and non-sports cards from my collection pictured on this site.

About Alfred Shipman

Al Shipman started his CFL career as a running back with Memphis in 1995. When the American teams folded after the 1995 season, Shipman was selected by Edmonton in the dispersal draft (first round, seventh overall). Shipman was released by Edmonton before playing any games for them and was signed by Ottawa as a free agent in 1996, playing just one game for them. The BC Lionssigned Shipman in March of 1997 and he played two seasons for them as a receiver and kick returner.
