It's All About Collecting The U!

With over 525 player alumni and staff from the University of Miami Football program represented, I believe my Hurricanes card collection is the most expansive in existence. It includes players that have been inducted into Hall of Fames through practice squad members and those that merely committed and walked away before the season began. Also represented are head coaches, assistants, and other staff members of the program. Along with traditional football cards, I also count similar flat collectables like pocket schedules and ticket stubs.

The Card Album is my personal collection showcase. I originally designed my first website, CardMagnet.info, from scratch in Microsoft FrontPage and used tables to organize things. The site was updated regularly 2009 to 2021. I’m proud to say that I had regular viewers from around the world, and my content was frequently in the top results on Google’s web and image results. The time came to put some new tools and ideas to use, and so TheCardAlbum.com was born.

About Carlos Huerta

Carlos Huerta (born June 29, 1969) is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in three different professional leagues. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, and was recognized as an All-American. Drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the twelfth round of the 1992 NFL Draft, he played in the National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League (CFL) and Arena Football League.

Huerta attended the University of Miami, where he was a walk-on kicker for the Hurricanes teams from 1988 to 1991.[3] During his four years as a starter, he led the Hurricanes in scoring.[3] He still holds the Hurricanes career records for points after touchdowns (PATs), field goals, and total points, as well as the top three season records for consecutive PATs in a season, the top four season records for field goals, and the top three season records for points scored kicking and field goals in a game.[3] As a senior in 1991, he was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American, having earned first-team honors from the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, Football News and The Sporting News.[3]

He graduated from the university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and was later inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame.[3]
