What is The Card Album?

The Card Album is my personal collection showcase. I originally designed my first website, CardMagnet.info, from scratch in Microsoft FrontPage and used tables to organize things. The site was updated regularly 2009 to 2021. I’m proud to say that I had regular viewers from around the world, and my content was frequently in the top results on Google’s web and image results. The time came to put some new tools and ideas to use, and so TheCardAlbum.com was born.

About My Collection

I’ve collected a little bit of everything over the years. With over 500 players and coaches from the University of Miami Football program represented, I believe my Hurricanes card collection is the largest one in existence. Along with Canes Football, I also enjoy collecting local natives and sports teams of the Greater Johnstown, PA area. You’ll also find various other baseball cards, hockey cards, football cards, and non-sports cards from my collection pictured on this site.

About Larry Jones

The Canes defeated Nebraska 22-0 in the 1992 Orange Bowl to clinch a share of the 1991 national championship with the Washington Huskies.  Larry Jones rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown to earn MVP honors. A redshirt freshman from Gainesville, FL, Jones began the season as the team’s 3rd string fullback behind Stephen McGuire and Martin Patton. He was promoted to starter after McGuire suffered a knee injury and Patton was serving a suspension for violating team rules.
